men’s invicta diver’s watch

i haz ben doing the used merchandise thingy. a few yeerz ago i needed a watch to time stuff i was doing. i actually went to walmart and bought a 10 dollar watch becuz it has large digits and back lite.

what i wanted to get wuz a casio solar powered watch which walmart didnt stock in store. just a few days ago i did a search for solar powered watches and a coworker strides into work with a citizen eco drive watch. i talked to him about and he wants to sell it 25% off store retail.

i suppose he mentioned it to another coworker who approaches me to sell the invicta men’s pro diver automatic mother of pearl dial date watch with polyurethane strap. how much i ax. he sez $24. i never heard of invicta but a quick web search reveals it’s a $70 watch without tax and shipping so i sez yeah.

he brings it in next day and plunk down me cash.

nice watch water proof to 100 meters. the manual says it has a screw down crown for water resistance but mine doesnt do anything. it has “trinite” glow in the dark hands numerals and 5 min dots. no wind automatic mechanical action. after wearing it for 6 hours it ran for 12 hours. it kept exact time for that duration. all stainless construction with mineral glass face. it has a window on bezel to see the gears and pendulum moving. exterior timer dial clicks and only moves counter clockwise. japan movement. black mother of pearl face. sweep second hand is blue, hard to see. the specimen i have has a 2 stop crown, first step sets date and 2nd step sets time. do this before you activate movement by wearing.

this is an outstanding bargain for $25. i have seen retail $25 watches at discount stores and this blows them away. the seller had the receipt. he bought it 2 yeerz ago and used it twice so he sez, then again i never seen him wear a watch.

as usual, the end user does final quality control, about a 10% chance of getting a lemon. most common complaint was poor time keeping.
