goan solar 1st day of autumn

i done did do brew coffee, cook oatmeal AND bake brade all free wiff me solar cart. PLUS i mowed dee lawn! wahhoo!

i’m hitting 100 usages witch meens my per event costs are dropping. iffen i spent five hunnerd box to cobble up a solar cart den i’m at 5 box a pop usage. itz probably more closer to 200 events (not keeping good records early)and i dare say next yeer diz time i’m goan to be about 300 events. 10 minnits brew, 15 minnits oatmeal, 1 hour bake brade and 45 minnits mow lawn. not shore how to amortize dat, simplest way iz by event.

i’m practisn fer the zombie ah pox eclipse. lucklishly i doan haz to worry about hoards of looters wanting to grab me stash.

the new lawn mower works well, enough…itz low noise and relatively lite weight. the rear wheels are close to the back cowling. when i pull dee lever to make the wheel height max i can actually walk it down steps without the back cowling catching. the grass in the backyard wuz about 4 inches in spots. i cud see the results of the mower. it didnt even choke or sorta stall. so i iz happy. the cowling iz all plastic and once it cracks, thatz it.

diz morning wuz heavy overcast. i drove to a famous department store to make a credit card payment. i kneeded water filters and this store iz actually very reasonable. i got a 4 pack for 16 bucks. duh local super market charges dat for a 3 pack. by purchasing two 4 packs and another brand of filters i almost saved the cost of gaz for dee trip.

when i returned home and rolled the solar carts out. the sky had brightened by then but mostly klawdee. by the time i ate breakfast and loaded up dee brade machine Shamash appeared in all hiz glory.

boffins at the weather headquarterz say dat sunday will be sunny. so i will roll dee cartz out again and weed whack and shrub trim and power blow duh perimeter all using solar power. sweet!

cheap oil bad for economy

well, cheap oil is bad for duck cheney’s economy not mine. mebbe if a barrel gets cheaper he will have a heart attack and die.

all the news outlets, the major main stream guys all have articles about how cheap oil is bad for the economy. i remember reading articles at those same outlets bemoaning the fact that expensive oil will destroy the economy.

i figger dat rich people with vested interest in high oil prices bribe the major news outlets to run articles extolling the virtues of high oil prices.

for example, it’s good for me, a factory worker, to pay high gaz-o-leen prices. it’s good that truckers and other distribution transportation (for food deliveries or cheap crap from china) pass along their costs for high oil to the stores who pass along their costs to me. that’s good! double plus good.

but when oil is cheap and prices drop on food and other items that is bad. BAD! BAD! BAD!

i dont get it. i do understand that folks with lots of money will try and brain wash me to believe what they think i should beleive.

in uhmerika there is only one game in town, oil. the uhmerikan way of life of wasting everything depends on it. when oil runs out then uhmerika dies. until then, PARTAY!

i dont understand why a guy who has billions of dollars wants more, especially if he has to get it by taking everyone else’s dollars.

i work in a factory. i only make so much money. i have very little on no benefits. if i am lucky i can stay at the same level i am now. i dont see much advancement in salary. if i had more money i could waste it on more things. i do have some debt, just enough for a credit history. but high wages for workers is bad but high incomes for billionaires is good.

HAH! the uhmerikan goobermint just announced it had spent ONE TRILLION DOLLARS(!) for the war in afghanistan. hot dam. jest think of all the electric cars and solar panels and wind mills and storage bat-trees a feller could have bought wiff dat. instead it wuz spent on a war not won.

of course it warnt spent on the war, no, of course not. some how most of that money went into the pockets of men like duck cheney who complain the low price of oil is bad for the economy. FART!

what ever the real reason i catch a break for a spell. who can say how long it will last? what is the real condition of the planet’s oil reserve? should we really be pumping all that out? should we really be at war with each other?

i read things just a year ago and now the exact reverse is happening. newspeak must be in full force. as long as uhmerikans can buy food at wally mart and cheap liquor and illegal drugs and drive cars and talk on smart phones about dumb things then they wont give a rat’s ass about the true state of affairs.

that is the current paradigm. put simply, to make the most money by exploiting people and the environment without any regard for long term consequences.

so how does humankind get out of the cradle and not keep all it’s eggs in one basket? there’s only one big blue marble. should we destroy it to escape it? jest axing. should top men and the smartest minds be pondering that? any who say sacrifice the place of birff for outward expansion is, well, not very smart at all and suspect. i call bullshit.

fusion power myth

“the sun in a bottle”,  righty-right, then. scientists and engineers have been saying for the the past 70 years (a life time) that fusion power is only 20 years away. unaccountable billions, if not trillions,of dollars have been thrown down that rat hole.

i drank dat kool-aid. what fusion research is really just a jobs program. i think the goal of fusion research isnt practical fusion power but rather a jobs program for scientists and engineers to fritter away their working careers at good wages, “for the betterment of mankind”. sounds respectable enough.

some folks have already designed warp drive star ships but havent a duke of an idear of what is to power it.

scientists and astronomers dont even really know how the sun operates. some say it is gravity squashing atoms together. what if it is electric?

here is a paraphrase. about on kilowatt of energy falls on each square meter. this is from the sun and at earth surface. the earth intercepts a tiny, minuscule, fantastically small percentage of this energy. yet these same scientists and astronomers would have you believe space is empty. nope. space is full of light and electricity and magnetism.

what scientists and engineers want are conferences in exotic locales to hold symposiums and give papers and live the good life while you and i struggle to make ends meet. becuz they know you are a dumb ass.

scientists and engineers never discuss heroin addiction or other social ills. “they” want you to think everything is under control.  but why are so many fission power plants built on known fault lines? no one asks a geophysicist for an opinion? look what happened in japan. scientists and engineers sed that would never happen in 10, 000 years. shit! those are crummy odds.

scientists and engineers never knew what to do with atomic waste. they left if for future scientists and engineers to figure out but acted like safety was taken care of. we were sold a nuclear bill of goods. atom bombs were easy enough to make. safe and reliable power not much so.

and here is the dirty little secret of fusion power. it takes a dirty fission  power plant to jump start it.

if a scientist and or engineer can fool the public to believe half a dream then their job is whole and complete. think of scientists and engineers as bob and bing “on the road to” fusion pie in the sky. gotta give the rubes a fair shake for their sugar.

when ever a scientist or engineer wants to intimidate they scream, ” I AM A SCIENTIST/ENGINEER!”.

all i am saying is the general public must be wary of false promises. dont be fooled by complex spread sheets. dont be coward when you are told you are stupid or dont know all the facts.

where are all the scientists and engineers who developed the atomic energy plant in japan when it had multiple meltdowns? certainly not lined up against a wall and shot. dont hand over your children’s future to such men who just want to retire from their careers on great pensions. the japan disaster may well prove to be a major extinction event bought to you by scientists and engineers.

let us not forget who is hold the leash. it is greedy short sighted profit motivated banksters who dont give a rat’s ass about you, me or the whole future of the earth as long as they can make millions and billions and trillions of what ever right now.

and that star ship? you got a ticket on it? no. the only berths will be for the elite who poisoned the earth and want to move on to other worlds to destroy along with their attending scientist and engineers (just enough, not too many) and plenty of sex slaves.

imagine designing a car without knowing how the engine will work. think dystopian meme where cars are pulled by horses.

that is exactly what NASA has done. we “designed” a warp drive space ship but we dont know what will power it. yeah, right.

humans have spent 70 years trying to “harness” fusion power but it’s always deemed 20 years away. the warp drive space ship may need some exotic propulsion powered by something more powerful than even anti matter and dilithium crystals.

the truth is we just dont know.

my house is powered by fusion reaction. i put solar panels on my roof. 93 million miles is about how close you want to be to a fusion reaction.

some say the sun is powered by birkeland currents instead. the best minds we got say that the way “they” think fusion works should produce neutrinos in a certain amount which dont seem to be detected.

i have to discount the NASA warp drive space ship. do you think a republican controlled uhmerikan political system would actually fund a warp drive space ship? trillions of dollars that could be given to wall street instead? you got to be kidding me. it’s just technolust porn for eggheads.

uhmerikan education system is only able to produce junkies and burger flippers. my own little ice age

late january 2014. yup, we got us a cold snap. teens for high single digits at night, 10 days in a row. for my climate that is about right for january. some pundits are calling for a new ice age but neglect to mention the heat wave that is hitting alaska.

i got some snow but not as much as i have got. just 2 or 3 years ago there was deep snow and frigid weather. i remember 2 snow storms a week one winter but no one said a new ice age was coming then. if i get snow in june i think i may get scared. however, i remember one spring where i had frost up until memorial day. every day before i drove to work i had to scrape some “scrum” off the windshield. but…every afternoon  was 80 degrees and pleasant. i remember plenty of aprils where i stomped on old man winter’s face with a boot. some snow, maybe from shoveling it into a 6 foot pile, had remained in a small patch about 4 inches thick and 2 feet wide hiding in the shade of a hemlock tree. so one warm afternoon i broke it up to hasten it’s melting.

of course i dont like it. i hate having to pretend it isnt 10 degrees every morning on the way to work. i still fear snow storms and maybe missing a day at work and wages. but man must wage war on nature. man has machines and petroleum to surmount nature and push it aside. but is nature fighting back? arent those machines and petroleum our weakness as well as our strength?

the polar vortex pretext

back in the day when “climate change” was hip, that is in the late 1980’s, i talked to a coworker who spent time in michigan. he told me that houses has doors on the second story. i axed him what for. he told me that the snow was so deep it was the only way to get out of the house! he told me they didnt plow the snow. people just drove over it. the snow plows would just level it out.

i had a boss who lived in michigan and he verified these details to me quite independently. i never told my boss about this coworker. someone else asked him about michigan and he mentioned the bitter sub zero F temps up there.

places like north and south dakota always crop up during the winter with fantastic low temps. i knew a guy who lived in minnesota and mentioned to me quite casually how cold and snowy it got.

i helped a buddy move to new hampshire in november. HOT DAMM! was it cold. i couldnt wait to get back to new jersey.

what i am getting at is that “global warming deniers” say that becuz winter is cold means there aint no global warming. as such i dont believe in global warming any more than i do in global cooling, i.e. the ice age. what i beieve is “climate change”.

climate change means wet where it was dry and dry where it was wet. climate change means extremes of weather. NJ is a perfect example. we are on our third cycle of extreme cold and extreme warmth. i write on a thursday after 2 days of single digit lows and one day of 10 F for a high and now i am looking at a saturday of 55 and rain IN JANUARY.

the ice agers cherry pick their data just as much as they accuse the global warmers for doing. those that shrill the most just shrug and say warm weather in the winter is “a glitch”. i say a glitch is a bitch.

i read about climate change back in the late 70’s. it’s up there with the jupiter effect. all mighty and all knowing man is just an ignorant ape pretending to be a god.  there are men who will kill the earth for a billion dollars. look at wayward hayward the CEO of BP. i laugh at him. he killed the gulf of mexico and halted the gulf stream that supplies warmth to his nation. as i write this, extreme cold and ice and snow are lashing the british isles. it warms the cockles of my heart to see the damage men do the earth in furtherance of profit.

men seek the perception of power but they dont wield it. all they have is dominion over other men and the ability to destroy things they dont understand. YO!

pain and suffering

i live in uhmerika, the most bass assed, bat shit insane country on earth. which means i live the good life. to day being new year’s day, i slept late to 7:30 am. my cat gets me up to feed him. but then i usually get up a 5 am to go my crud job via grinding commute.

still, sometimes i think of other folks both near and far away who are truly suffering. those who are made homeless by technological, civil or natural disaster, those being forced from their homes by armed insurgents, those being tortured, raped or killed, those who witnessed loved ones die from horrible but preventable disease, in short the business as usual.

and what of animal fates? those poor creatures who suffer at the perverse whims of human kind? or those bred in captivity for the express purpose of being killed and eaten?

still i strive for enlightenment. i make just enough money to stay in my house and continue to go to work. i have a little left over for my hobbies and a six pack of a 6% alcoholic beverage. i have enough food to eat and live in reasonable safety. i am living in the last vestiges of democratic freedom.

still, each and everyone of us remains victims of the modern age. atomic weapons, careless and short sighted extraction of resources, utter disregard for environment which supports life, the scourge of techno-lust, “gotta have it, NOW!” the dont give a shit about folks who aint got and cant get.

scientists say life has been on the earth for maybe billions of years and advanced life for five hundred million years. who can really comprehend that? who can comprehend what a light year is? or a planc length? people say they do because they use symbols to represent those things. i use symbols to represent those things.

everyone has a smart phone but everyone acts dumb. why is that? when i grew up as a child and young adult, if you saw someone in a store or walking down the street talking to them selves in the manner of having a conversation with an invisible companion, why i would think that person is nuts, crazy. but now everyone does it. it’s fucking weird!

or to use mass transit and see 75% of the people staring at small screens held in hand, oblivious to creeping fascism.  i met folks who cant pay bills or buy food or have trouble avoiding homelessness but they all got dat smart phone.

in western capitalistic culture there are winners and losers, they come in various degrees and levels. the only thing that distinguishes them is the amount of money they have, those with more money are winners, those with less losers. those with less want more and those with more want…more. those with the most have the means to take it from those with less.

so i mentioned i make enough to get by. i am one rung up from a bum loser. i have just the minimum extra prestige to avoid being routed out by law enforcement as undesirable but compared to folks far away they may think i am living the life of a privileged elite.

the best thing i like about being on the next to lowest rung of this elite club is being able to completely waste my life. which is way cool, no one has authorized me to launch atomic missiles, no one put a gun in my hand and told me to kill those people, no one asked me to destroy an area the size of france to extract minerals, i didnt destroy the oceans in the name of profit.

i do not want to belong to those elites’ club. no,sir!
